VRF diagnosis and repair Repair · 06

VRF repair is often smarter than a new outdoor unit: a leak, lost addressing, a far indoor that will not cool. Aurum Prodest finds leaks and restores charge and controls — including plant another contractor installed.

Do not “just add gas” without a leak search — you dump refrigerant and repeat in a month. We use detectors, pressure tests and oil traces; sometimes we open pipe boxes that were closed with no hatches.

About the service

Do not “just add gas” without a leak search — you dump refrigerant and repeat in a month. We use detectors, pressure tests and oil traces; sometimes we open pipe boxes that were closed with no hatches.

Indoor addressing dies after a board swap without a map. We rebuild the network from as-built lengths and service software, not the security guard’s memory.

Compressor swap is last. Dirty condensers, wrong refrigerant and driers kill more units. We say when repair loses to a module swap.

Live buildings follow a diary. After repair: vacuum, weigh-in per maker tables, report. Workmanship on our joint is contractual; a 10-year buried pipe with no access has limits.

A service contract beats July emergencies. Survey is charged and credited if you proceed.

FAQ

Can you charge VRF like a split?

No. Charge follows pipe length and software. Blind top-up kills compressors.

Systems you did not install?

Yes after survey. Buried pipes with no access — honest risk talk first.

Leak-find cost?

From pipe and finish complexity. After inspection, not “it hisses a bit” on the phone.

No indoor cools — is it gas?

Or outdoor, power, controls. Diagnosis exists so we do not replace everything.

Parts for old VRV?

Depends on brand and year. Sometimes a full module is the cheaper path — we price both.

Service after repair?

Yes, on contract. Without it the July failure repeats.

Need a quote or installation? We reply within an hour on business days. Engineer visit and survey are free with a signed contract.
